Colorado Non-Profit | McDonald Hyundai Hope Foundation| Our Ambassadors
For our 3rd annual charity golf tournament, Addison Klienhans has handed down the reigns of Ambassadorship to his good friend Bella. For our 4th annual charity golf tournament we will be introducing our new Ambassador, Maya.
Maya was diagnosed with metastasized brain cancer three weeks shy of her third birthday. Maya was living in Las Vegas and at that time there wasn’t a pediatric neuro-oncologist. After conducting a lot of research Maya found Dr. Foreman, who oversaw Maya’s care from afar. Maya underwent emergency brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Soon after, she started a grueling two and a half year course of chemotherapy. After much trial and error, the family moved to Denver. After her first six months of treatment under the care of Dr. Foreman, Maya’s tumors began to shrink. Maya has now been cancer free for six years.
Bella and Addison have become the faces of hope for many cancer patients across the state and across the country. They have battled a terrible disease hand in hand with their families by their side and have developed a friendship that few .
Bella and Addison were treated at Children’s Hospital Colorado and their experience has been such a positive one that they get excited each time they have a doctor’s appointment.
This is Bella’s first year with The McDonald Hyundai Hope Foundation and we are proud to have such a brave individual be part of our efforts to support the organization at Children’s Colorado.
